Teacher Alina Blanaru from Chisinau is the sixth winner of “The most beloved of the teachers” competition

For more than two decades Mrs. Alina dedicates her life to educate generations of children being receptive and understanding with each of them.
“Gentle, attentive, wise, and soulful” are just a few qualities used by the pupils of the XIth “C” grade to characterize their classroom teacher. And in order to thank for her dedication they decided to surprise her, telling publicly how much they appreciate her efforts.
Mrs. Alina Blanaru has experienced today unforgettable emotions during the classroom hours, when she was welcomed by her students and the Edelweiss team with a huge bouquet of flowers, a diploma and a laptop offered in a sign of deep appreciation.
“This is how your disciples wanted to show you their respect and admiration for the tremendous work you are doing to educate them”, said the Foundation’s Executive Director Lidia Cucos.
“We found out about the competition initiated by the Foundation of Vlad Plahotniuc “Edelweiss” and decided to participate. We hoped until the last minute we would win”, said pupil Veronica Jantoan.
Mrs. Alina Blanaru was deeply impressed by her pupils’ initiative. She thanked everyone for this beautiful gesture and mentioned that she did not expect to experience today “such strong emotions...”. The joy of the moment was complemented by the fact that the visit of the Edelweiss team coincided with Alina Blanaru’s birthday.
Definitely, the applause and the “Happy Birthday” song performed in chorus by all those present will remain in the memory of Mrs. Blanaru forever!
