Today, the representatives of “Edelweiss” Foundation paid a visit to Edinet Regional Hospital in order to assess the implementation of “a new life” project. The project implies the distribution of kits for the newborn babies but also for their mothers.

“A new life” project reached four maternities by now. Today, we are here in Edinet to offer kits for mothers and their newborn babies. We are very happy because it is one of our soul projects, because it aims babies, it is about love, affection, said Lara Moraru, the President of “Edelweiss Foundation”.

Until now, 252 young families from Edinet regional Hospital, received as a gift kits for their newborns with all necessary products. The kits contain diapers, bodies, hygiene and medical products, mattress and other very necessary items for the babies.

And maternity doctors believe that this project is perfect for mothers, as it is a support for them in the first months of the baby's birth. "This gift is an incentive for young mothers, because by this gesture they are well aware that they are surrounded by people with a great soul," said Iurie Artemi, head of the Edinet district hospital.

One year after the launch of the campaign, over 7,118 newborn baby kits were distributed. The initiative of Vlad Plahotniuc's Foundation is inspired by national support programs for mothers and children, which have long been developed in countries such as Finland and Canada.
