Emotional moments at “Edelweiss Gala Surprises” hosted by Andreea Marin

Edelweiss Foundation organized a night of emotions and beautiful surprises to mark the Foundation’s 4th anniversary alongside with beneficiaries from all around the country.
The beloved Andreea Marin was the host of Edelweiss Gala and in collaboration with Edelweiss, funded by Vlad Plahotniuc, was the one to announce the results of donations which changed the lives of five vulnerable families.
One by one, the beneficiary families were surprised to be invited on the stage by Andreea Marin. The audience found out their life stories, their problems and had the chance to live their emotions with the public. Burst of emotions could be felt each time Edelweiss Foundation was announcing the collected amount for each family- carefully prepared to fulfill each family’s dreams.
The most sensitive moment of the evening was the encounter of Vlad Plahotniuc, the founder of Edelweiss Foundation, with the young Petru Chirita, known to the public by his participation in a young talents TV show. Vlad Plahotniuc revealed that he himself heard the story of the young man on TV and was deeply impressed with this young, ambitious man, thus deciding to render him a helping hand.
“Petru is not a social case for me, he is an example of love, devotion and an example of self-sacrifice, which is very uncommon nowadays”, mentioned the founder of Edelweiss while sharing Petru’s overwhelming emotions. Edelweiss foundation will cover the expenses for the repairs of their family house worth 100.000 lei and all the necessary home electric appliances. Moreover, Petru will benefit for a 2 000 lei stipend for a 3 year period. Edelweiss has also offered a home medical assistant to take care of Petru’s mother.
In the course of Edelweiss Gala, other 4 families received substantial assistance. For Grecu family from Chisinau, the Edelweiss Foundation is covering all the expenses for the treatment of their two years old daughter, diagnosed with eye cancer. Cristin and Ionela Lingura from Cantemir, have new advanced audible appliances. Nicolae Rijac, the child who fought with leukemia with the help of Edelweiss Foundation, is on his rehabilitation treatment covered by the foundation and will have a repaired house to live in. Cristina Andries will benefit from quality musical education and will get prepared for a thrilling career in music.
“All of these are made possible due to an amazing Edelweiss team, that you don’t see, but you should know they are always there”, mentioned Andreea Marin. At the end of the Gala event, the Romanian band Holograf offered an outstanding show to all friends of Edelweiss Foundation.
