The most talented instrumentalists from Moldova will have the opportunity held classical music concerts on stages from the country and abroad in the framework of "Classic Music for All" tour. This is the newest cultural project supported by Edelweiss Foundation.
The start contest to select the best instrumentalists was given last night, when more than 50 enthusiasts met with Chisinau Youth Orchestra band for registration. Each of young people enrolled in the competition will perform at auditions in front of a panel of musicians and conductors from Moldova and Romania. Even though not all of them will have the chance to perform on the stage, the young musicians will have the opportunity to learn throughout the competition from the secrets of experienced musicians.
The idea of launching the "Classic Music for All" project came to the young man Adriano Marian, who will also conduct classical music concerts scheduled in the tournament. "We choose this topic as we want absolutely everyone to hear and listen to classic music. This year we have the great honor to perform not only in Chisinau and in cities from the country, but also on Romanian Athenaeum, where famous music sounds enchanted the air” said the conductor, at the launch of the competition.
The Edelweiss Foundation immediately embraced the idea of this project to promote performance and culture. "The decision to support this project came easily, because one of the objectives of our foundation is to promote performance, especially among young people. We believe that talented young people deserve a chance to be known both at home and abroad. It is always a real joy for us to assist young people who want to better and to grow in field they’ve chosen", said Lara Castravet, CEO of Edelweiss Foundation.
"Classic Music for All" is the first transnational cultural project in Moldova. Participants are young musicians who study at specialized universities in Chisinau, Chicago, London, Vienna, Turku, Suceava, Botosani, Iasi, Cluj-Napoca, Bucharest, Kiev, St. Petersburg, and Moscow.
