The moment took place at Edelweiss Foundation, where Ecaterina Caraman was invited together with her sister and her family. Vlad Plahotniuc’s Foundation offered the girl a monthly scholarship for the following 12 months, and a new piano to develop her skills every day.
The little 7-year-old girl has already won several national and international competitions, even this year winning the II place at the International Piano Competition in France. Until now, she had to attend her piano lessons at her teacher or her grandmother.
With her new piano the girl performed today several fragments from famous pieces all along with a big happy smile.
“What are neighbours going to say if you start to practice every day at home?” joked Vlad Plahotniuc, who spent today some time with the talented pianist and her family encouraging her to follow her dreams. The Edelweiss founder wished Ecaterina great success in her future piano competitions and promised her he will watch with pleasure her progress. “I will be your fan”, said Vlad Plahotniuc.
Ecaterina Caraman this very week reaches seven years. She is practising the piano for less than two years at the Republican High School of Music “Ciprian Porumbescu” from Chisinau.
